Tim responded quickly and was very reassuring, and came out to give us a quote for the repair which was less than I had been expecting. “We would heartily recommend Thorpe Structural. Their attention to detail, efficiency, excellent communication, and friendly yet professional demeanour made Tim and Dan an absolute pleasure to work with.
Our 1920s semi needed repairs to the pebbledash render, chimney re-pointing, and new fascia boards and guttering. Dan responded very quickly to our query and came out to the house within a few days - a great booking system via the website. Tim came back to us promptly with a quote and talked through the different elements, options, and price points. Our decision - rather late in proceedings - to switch to aluminium guttering rather than uPVC was handled very graciously.
The process was made very easy as Thorpe Structural arranged everything, from scaffolding to waste clearance. Communication throughout the work was very good; we were always kept in the loop about progress and Tim and Dan encouraged us to review things as the job progressed to ensure we and our neighbours were happy.
We ended up having a plumbing issue (entirely unrelated) that required a new downpipe and Tim and Dan were kind enough to accommodate working around that and even repaired the render surrounding the pipe fittings, which was not part of the original job quoted for. Even when the job was over, Tim came back following heavy rain, to check our guttering was all in order! They really went the extra mile.
We were very pleased with the high standard of work and will definitely look to use Thorpe Structural for anything we need in the future. Tim and Dan clearly take great pride in what they do!”

“I am so glad I found Thorpe Structural to help with repairs on my parents' bungalow. They handled everything from structural crack stitching and repairs (internal and external) as per a structural engineer’s report to internal replastering across multiple rooms and multiple cosmetic repairs as well as repointing the damp course and some cracked brick replacements.
What set them apart wasn't just their technical expertise which was evident from the very start but their incredible attention to detail. They identified and fixed several issues not mentioned in the original report to ensure the building was truly sound. Beyond the 'big' jobs, they even jet-washed my front path just because they had the equipment out.
Dealing with Dan and Tim was an absolute pleasure. They were professional, gave me total confidence in their work, and showed genuine kindness during what was a very difficult personal time for me having just lost both my parents. While there was a small issue in one room with the plastering relating to the light fitting, their communication and resolution was excellent. They are high quality tradesmen who take real pride in what they do and are simply lovely people to deal with. (They also have a healthy appreciation for tea and Jaffa Cakes!)
