Expert Repointing and Chimney Repair in Norwich

The Challenge

Our client in Norwich needed urgent attention to their property's chimneys and external brickwork. With one chimney located on a party wall shared with a council-owned property, coordination with the council was necessary.

What We Did

Dan and the team undertook comprehensive repointing works, addressing both chimneys and the area beneath the ground floor front window. We ground out and repointed the brickwork using lime mortar, known for its breathability and compatibility with older structures. We renewed the chimney pot flaunching, ensuring long-lasting stability. Several small external brickwork patches were filled with lime mortar to restore integrity. Additionally, we bricked up external air vents to improve the building's thermal performance. The project included chimney wrap scaffolding for safe access and efficient waste disposal.
